Frequently asked questions
How does DayEvery work?
Add todos for today across Health, Work, Relationships and Joy. When you're happy with your plan, lock your day. Complete every todo on a locked day and the next part of your current story unlocks. Unfinished todos carry forward to the next day.
Can I change my day after locking it?
Yes. On a locked day you can still check and uncheck todos, and you can unlock the day to edit it. Once every todo on a locked day is complete, the day is finished and your story part is unlocked.
How long can I read a story?
Once you unlock a story's final part, the whole story stays readable for five days. The app shows a countdown before it expires.
How do I listen to the audio?
Tap the speaker icon next to the part title in the story reader. Audio is downloaded when you first play it, so you need an internet connection for that.
How much does DayEvery cost?
Your first story is free. After that, DayEvery is $9.99 per month or $89.99 per year (US prices; local prices are shown in the app). New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial, shown in the app before you subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In DayEvery, tap ··· → Subscription → Manage Subscription. Or open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DayEvery. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Apple's guide to cancelling.
How do I restore my subscription?
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen, or ··· → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I got a new iPhone. Where are my todos?
To keep them private, your todos and reading progress are stored only on the iPhone where you created them. They are not included in iCloud or device backups, so a new iPhone starts fresh. Your subscription is tied to your Apple Account: tap Restore Purchases on the new iPhone.
Do I need an account? How do I delete my data?
There's no account. Everything you write stays on your iPhone, and deleting the app deletes it. To stop paying, cancel your subscription as described above; deleting the app does not cancel it.
Can I make the text bigger?
Yes. Tap ··· → Text Size for your todos. The story reader has its own text-size control. DayEvery also follows your iPhone's text-size setting.
